A group of 18 alumni who graduated from Oxford Polytechnic's first modular science degree in 1976, attended a 40 year reunion on Saturday 5 October.

They were joined by the current Head of Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Professor David Evans, and two former lecturers Dr Alwyn Griffiths and Bill Clarke who help set up the degree. The group joined the Polytechnic in 1973 and studied geology, environmental biology and physical science as part of the first year of the pioneering Modular Degree programme. They reminisced about their lecturers and the campus as it used to be, as well as SU concerts and the atmosphere of the old 'Poly' and enjoyed hearing about developments and plans for the future.
