What made you choose Brookes as a place to study?

School-based hub at our school

What did you think of the course you studied at Brookes? What knowledge/experiences have you used in your future work?

Excellent supervision of dissertation.  Excellent standard of teaching. Developing my teaching skills in an area where I’ve always felt they were less strong – leading student group discussions.

Supervisor (Jane Coles) was a specialist in the field of my dissertation.  This made a huge difference, as her suggestions for my substantive reading were so inspiring.

After graduating from Brookes what were the next steps in your career?

I’m still in the same job, but I think I’m a better teacher.

What so far have been the most challenging moments?

Trying to complete the dissertation to the high standard I wished to achieve.

How have you been involved with Brookes recently?

Graduate speaker at degree ceremony.  Gave seminar to professional studies group on CPD.

What have been the successes or personally benefits in getting involved?

A chance to share my enthusiasm for the university.

What do you recommend to others who would like to get involved with the university?

Do it!
